Presentation of VetMedZg project in Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts

On Wednesday 18th May 2016, at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts was held the fourth colloquium Innovations in Medicine, as a part of the cycle stands Innovation and Technology Transfer - boost of economic development of Croatia, which is jointly organized by the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the University of Zagreb. It was the tenth such forum which aims to promote and popularize the idea of ​​innovation and knowledge transfer from universities and research institutions as the foundation for future innovative economy that will enable Croatia easier economic recovery and overcoming the crisis. Prof. PhD Vladimir Mrljak, project coordinator, presented on that occasion VetMedZg project, which aims to strengthen scientific research at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Project aims to increase the capacity in molecular veterinary medicine by attracting outstanding, experienced researchers, and transfering knowledge and research potential, particularly in the fields of proteomics and metabolomics. "Faculty will thus improve its competitiveness in the competitive scientific research, prevent brain drain, improve its visibility in the wider region and become an internationally recognized partner," said prof. Mrljak.
