New Agreement on Financing Signed
On Thursday, June 7th 2018, an Agreement on financing was signed at the premises of the Ministry of Science and Education, to award grants for the purpose of project implementation within the framework of the Call for Proposals "Development and Strengthening of Synergies with Horizontal Activities of HORIZON 2020 Program: Twinning and ERA Chairs" entitled "Omics Approach in the Veterinary Molecular Medicine" in the amount of HRK 1,499,845.00. The contract was signed by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Zagreb, prof. Dean Konjević, PhD, Minister of Science and Education prof. Blaženka Divjak, PhD, and the Director of the Central Financing and Contracting Agency for European Union Programs and Projects, Tomislav Petric, with the presence of the project leader, prof. Vladimir Mrljak, PhD.
The aim of the call, announced in December 2017, is to provide synergies with the horizontal activities of the HORIZON 2020 programme "Expansion of Excellence and Participation" - Twinning and ERA Chairs - which promote interaction with cohesion policy, ie Structural Funds and Smart Specialization Strategy, in the direction of strengthening the capacity, sustainability and excellence of the IRI activity of the research sector in the Republic of Croatia.
Grants will enable scientists at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Zagreb to raise research effectiveness to the level of international recognition.
