• MSc in Animal Sciences from Wageningen University in Wageningen, The Netherlands
• Worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA)
• Duty as an assistant manager of chicken farm, Faculty of Animal Science (VNUA)
• Interested in the development of new feed sources for animals which not compete with human food sources

2. Gabriela Avila Morales
• BSc in Biotechnology from the Technological Institute of Costa Rica (TEC)
• MSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)
• Master project carried out at the Material Sciences Institute of Barcelona (ICMAB), studying the role of 3D scaffolds on ex vivo PBMCs and CD4+ T cells expansion for cancer immunotherapy
• Interested to deepen my knowledge and expertise in the OMICs field

3. Francesca Riva
• MSc in Veterinary Biotechnology at the University of Milan
• Fellowship period in the laboratory of parasitology of the University of Milan
• Exchange Program in which she had the opportunity to do seven months of practical experience at the Department of Veterinary Molecular Genetics (SVGM) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain)
• Master thesis on the role of polyphenol diet in chicken intestinal microbiota profile using 16s rRNA gene massive sequencing
• Worked on the portable DNA sequencer (MinION) from Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT)
• Deep interest in OMICs research field

4. Jorge Peinado Izaguerri
• BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Zaragoza
• MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Zaragoza
• Degree Project in the Reproductive Biology and Biotechnology Group from University of Zaragoza
• Internship in the Centro de Investigación en Ecosistemas de la Patagonia (Chile) where he developed his scientific communication skills
• Strongly motivated towards the project due to the topic and the techniques and ways of working

5. Ruben Riosa
• BSc in Animal Science from the University of Udine
• MSc in Animal Nutrition from the University of Milan
• Participated in an Exchange Program working as a trainee at the INRA Centre of Research of Saint Gilles (France)
• Master thesis on how milk composition and some milk properties change if there are an alteration in the diet and/or in the environmental temperature
• Master thesis project became a poster presented at the 10th International Symposium on the Nutrition of Herbivores (Clérmont-Ferrand, 2-6 September 2018)
• Interested in Animal Nutrition and Physiology

6. Rafaela Furioso Ferreira
• Veterinary Medicine (Honours) at Federal University of Paraná (Brazil)
• Environmental, Health and Safety Technician (Federal Technological University of Paraná, Brazil)
• Worked as a research intern at the VetMedZg Laboratory of Proteomics (Zagreb) and at the Laboratory of Veterinary Clinical Pathology HV-UFPR (Brazil)
• Internship project that wanted to evaluate acute phase proteins and used a proteomics approach aiming to develop biomarkers for dogs with various inflammatory and neoplastic disease
• Research interests involve developing novelty diagnosis tools for veterinary medicine and the use of innovative approaches such as OMICs tools for animal production

7. Morena Cau
• BSc in Animal production, Food and Health at the University of Milan
• MSc in Veterinary biotechnology at the University of Milan
• Internship at the Teagasc Research Centre (Ireland), working on a National project regarding animal welfare with a particular focus on cattle
• Worked in the laboratory of microbiology at the Sardinian Institute for the Zoo-prophylaxis in Sassari
• Worked mainly with CaCo2 cells, for in vitro toxicology, using different cells farming techniques, MTT tests and ELISA at the University of Milan

8. Yron Joseph Manaig
• BSc in Agriculture, major in Animal Science, from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)
• MSc in Animal Science, major in Animal Nutrition, with a minor in Biochemistry at UPLB
• His thesis project determined the interactive effects of supplemental fat sources and carcass modifiers on production performance, carcass characteristics, meat quality, and belly characteristics of growing-finishing pigs
• Worked as an animal nutritionist at San Miguel Foods, Inc. wherein he handled the formulation, quality, and performance of commercial feeds being catered to the Central and Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines
• Interested in alternative feed ingredients and oils evaluation and metabolism studies

9. Tamil selvi Sundaram
• B.Tech (Honours) – Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai
• MSc in Environmental Protection and Agricultural Food Production (major in Molecular and Microbiology) at the University of Hohenheim (Germany)
• Worked as a student research assistant in Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research (Dresden, Germany) in the development of 3D cell culture scaffolds based on self-assembly of aromatic di-peptides
• Master thesis project done at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (Braunschweig, Germany) studying the antimicrobial effects of secondary bile acids on different ribotypes of Clostridium difficile grown in mouse intestinal content

10. Arash Veshkini
• BSc in Animal Science from the University of Tehran
• MSc in Animal Science from the University of Tehran
• Joined the working group of Prof. Dr. Mohammadi-Sangcheshmeh at “Stem Cell Technology Research center” of Tehran
• He carried out his MSc research work on “Omega 3 fatty acids and in vitro oocyte developmental competence in goat”
• Visiting scholar at the University of Bonn in order to deepen his knowledge
• Interested in system biology and OMICs technologies

11. Punit Tyagi
• BSc (H) in Zoology from the University of Delhi
• MSc in Bioinformatics from Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi
• He did his Master thesis project at the Defence Institute of Physiology and Applied Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO, Delhi on “System Biology and Network of Hypoxia Regulated Proteins an In-Silico Analysis”
• Experience in Next Generation Sequencing data analysis techniques
• He joined the National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB), India, where he applied his NGS data analytical knowledge for transcriptome and genomics data analysis
• Interested to pursue his further academics in the field of animal’s data analysis, developing tools and pipelines, which would be useful for livestock improvement and finding novelty from the data produced from the experiments
